These terms are an agreement between you and Wakeup Monster about using the Inkwiz extension and this website. By installing or using Inkwiz, you agree to them.
Using Inkwiz
We give you a free, personal, non-exclusive licence to install and use Inkwiz in Chrome. Please don’t copy, resell or redistribute the extension, misuse the services it connects to, or try to break, reverse engineer or overload them.
Third-party services and your API keys
Inkwiz sends your text to the checking engine you choose: LanguageTool, Chrome’s built-in Gemini Nano, Anthropic (Claude) or OpenAI. Those services are run by other companies under their own terms, and their availability, limits and quality are outside our control. LanguageTool’s free service has rate limits, so checking may slow down during heavy use.
If you add your own Anthropic or OpenAI API key, you are responsible for that key, for following that provider’s terms and for any charges on your account. Keep your key private.
Suggestions can be wrong
Inkwiz’s suggestions are generated automatically and can be incorrect, incomplete or not right for your situation. You decide what to accept. Please check anything important yourself before you send it, especially legal, medical or financial writing.
Your content
Your writing belongs to you. We don’t claim any rights to it, and we don’t receive it. The privacy policy explains exactly where your text goes.
Our content
The Inkwiz name, Inky the mascot, the extension and this website belong to Wakeup Monster. Other product names and logos shown on this site belong to their owners and are used only to describe which services Inkwiz works with.
No warranty
Inkwiz is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don’t promise that it will be error-free, always available or work on every website.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Wakeup Monster is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, revenue or profits, arising from your use of Inkwiz. Because Inkwiz is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to USD 50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes and ending
We may update Inkwiz and these terms. If we make a significant change to the terms, we will update the date above. You can stop using Inkwiz at any time by uninstalling it. We may stop offering Inkwiz, or stop providing it to anyone who misuses it.
